RIYADH: The Social Responsibility Association in Riyadh hosted the second Social Responsibility Forum to align cross-sector efforts in advancing sustainable development and Vision 2030.
Held on Saudi Social Responsibility Day (March 23), the event emphasized the crucial role of social responsibility in community and economic growth, urging businesses to contribute actively.
Saud Al-Subaie, chairman of the association, highlighted the necessity of collaboration among government, private, and nonprofit sectors to create meaningful societal impact and foster a culture of giving.
CEO Abdullah Al-Muhanna reinforced the association’s commitment to building strong partnerships and promoting social responsibility, viewing the forum as a platform to instill values of generosity and solidarity.
According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the percentage of major companies implementing social responsibility programs rose from 30% in 2019 to 65% by the end of 2023.
The forum featured discussions on governance, national experiences, and strategies to embed social engagement in future generations, along with methods to measure social responsibility impact.
The Princess Al-Anoud Charity Foundation was honored for its contributions, alongside several institutions and individuals recognized for their dedication to community service.
Under the theme “We Commit to Our Social Responsibility,” this year’s event reinforced the importance of collaboration in fostering generosity, sustainable development, and a sense of shared commitment.
